Jin Shin Jyutsu can provide natural pain relief:
"JSJ allows patients to be relieved of their pain
without narcotics, or as many narcotics."
- Dr. Mark Evers, Director of the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky,
which includes Jin Shin Jyutsu in the range of treatments offered to cancer patients.

Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) is traditional light touch Japanese acupressure. Acting as a "jumper cable," the JSJ practitioner gently places their hands at specific sites on the body (see illustrations to the left), over the client's clothing. Applying these hand holds in particular combinations and sequences clears energetic blockages. Tensions are released; life force energy in the body is increased and rebalanced; body and mind shift to a state of greater harmony; and physiological functioning is enhanced.

about Jin Shin Jyutsu's beginnings

Jiro Murai rediscovered and furthered the ancient art of Jin Shin Jyutsu early in the last century. His research included study of the Kojiki
("Record of Ancient Things") in the Japanese Imperial Archives.
Mary Burmeister, "Mother of Jin Shin Jyutsu," was Jiro Murai's student. Burmeister created the books practitioners now work from.
She brought Jin Shin Jyutsu to America and the wider world.
